Come January 2015, Formula One race team Mercedes AMG Petronas will receive a wardrobe update from German luxury fashion house HUGO BOSS.
As part of a new partnership, the luxury label will design high-performance garments for the team at Formula One circuits and team headquarters and will have an F1-inspired “BOSS for Mercedes-Benz Collection” released biannually. In return, Hugo Boss’ branding will be featured on the 2015 Silver Arrow, the official nickname of the German-brand car.
Head of Mercedes-Benz Motorsport Toto Wolff noted, “As a team, we are very pleased to have attracted another brand of HUGO BOSS’ stature to add to our already extensive and impressive suite of partners. Everyone in the team is excited about the prospect of being ‘kitted out’ by HUGO BOSS at the racetracks next season.”
This is not the first time HUGO BOSS is involved in F1. The brand had been collaborating with McLaren Formula One team since 1981.
