Fall 2014 Converse Jack Purcell Collection

  • By Men's Folio

Converse injects a playful quality to its classic Jack Purcell sneaker this Fall with the introduction of the Converse Jack Purcell Cross Stitch. Made of supple leather and sporting a contrasting cross-stitch detail in waxed cotton, the clean refined style of these sneakers will readily complement any outfit. For the Jack Purcell Cross Stitch campaign, Converse collaborated with Shotopop, an artist collective from the UK known for their works with paper and laser cut sculptures. The artists brought the sneaker to life through layered laser cut paper, highlighting the characteristic cross-stitch detail.

Another stylish addition this season is the Converse Jack Purcell Split Tongue that combines water-resistant textile with luxurious leather in contrasting colours, offering much needed protection from the rainy season ahead, without compromising your fashion cred. For the campaign, Miami-based Columbian artist Frederico Uribe recreated the Split Tongue sneaker using a mix of conventional items such as pencils.

Fans of the Converse Jack Purcell Mid are not forgotten – the highly popular mid-cut sneaker is reworked with aluminium eyelets and a cork foot bed along with the Jack Purcell signature blue bottom and smile details.

With such a comprehensive and alluring array on offer, stylish men will find it hard to resist updating their wardrobe and heralding the new fashion season with a pair (or two)!
