Romain Kremer lends his signature aesthetic to the Techno Casual look of Camper’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection by combining the trainer and formal shoe. Playing with the different parts of the shoe separately, he expertly fuses together contrasting materials like nubuck, rubber, canvas and neoprene to create a hybrid that offers the comfort of the former and style of the latter.
The French designer has been a longstanding collaborator with the brand and it comes as no surprise that he was recently appointed Creative Director of the Spanish house.
His distinctive patchwork design for the Camper Together with Romain Kremer collection comes in two variations: the urban trainer with running sole and rubber protection on the heel, as well as the sandal with leather and elastic strap open upper and closed heel-end. Contrasting front and back colours provide add to the strong personality of the shoes and demonstrate Kremer’s genius at integrating the two seemingly dissimilar styles of footwear.
