The MEN’S FOLIO team, along with other invited guests and fans of the brand, turned artisans for a day at the Braun Büffel Atelier. A leather workshop, complete with crafting essentials and hot stamping machine, was set up at the atrium of VivoCity. The charity initiative under the Büffel Art Project, was set up to showcase the know-how and heritage of the German marque. Participants were introduced to the basics steps of leatherwork through a hands-on leather craft session where they got to make items such as mobile cases, key fobs and card holders. With awls, pliers, and leather punches in hand, these “craftsmen” went through the steps of cutting, hole-punching and stitching to finish their very own handmade product. Braun Büffel’s master craftsman, Mr Udo Quint, was specially flown in to provide much-needed assistance to the participants as well as to demonstrate his art to the appreciative audience. Proceeds from the event were donated to Very Special Arts Singapore (VSA Singapore), the chosen beneficiary of Büffel Art Project 2014.
