Tras Street’s buzzing with excitement as of late. Within a year, early birds Brasserie Gavroche and Café Gavroche are joined by the trendy Art Deco-esqued bar House of Dandy, innovative cocktail haven Jekyll & Hyde, elegant French restaurant Fleur de Sel and the playful East-meets-West Sushi Burrito.
Adding to the mix is newly renovated Element and Element on Tras Street at Amara Singapore; a first of its kind, offering a multicultural, multi-occasion, and integrated F&B experience in an inspirational setting under one roof.
The ‘Element At Play’ concept synergizes several components into a diverse dining experience: Basque cuisine headed by new-in-town chef Mikel Badiola (fresh off the northern Atlantic coast of Spain), feature rustic staples such as Basque fish soup, Spanish omelette and cod fish béchamel filled in piquillo pepper; the East-meets-West international buffet changes daily ranging from Japanese sashimis to desserts spreads.
Caffeine junkies will appreciate Element’s dedicated coffee “bar” featuring artisanal coffee brand, Toby’s Estate Coffee. The beans are micro-roasted to suit Singapore’s palate, giving it a more aromatic tone and higher acidity; to get your mojo going, Element’s alfresco bar turns into a swanky watering hole when the sun sets, with a superb wine list, international beers selection (Italian Peroni served on tap) and Element’s playful original cocktails – set against live DJ sets.
