Fashion followers of chic, minimalist fashion label, Maison Martin Margiela will be glad to know of the latest partnership – an exclusive wallpaper collaboration with Belgian-based company, Omexco .
Maison Martin Margiela’s wallpaper collection will feature five styles – : ‘La paésine’ reproduced from Tuscan limestone, ‘Le point de croix’ which is reinterpreted from a crossitch canvas, ‘La mosaïque’, ‘Le rideau’, ‘L’optique’ catch sinpiration from gemometric marble mosaic prints and optical illusions. Interestingly, the famed white doors, iconic to the house of Maison Martin Margiela is not included.
Described as “humour with elegance, avant-garde ideals with classic tastes,” the wallpaper range is in line with Margiela’s signature aesthetic of deconstruction and volume, while creating one-of-kind pieces of wearable art.
The range will be first launched in Singapore at the Maison&Objet 2014 before moving to Salone del Mobile in Milan at the start of April. After which, the collection will be made available around the world.
Prices range from 50 euros, per meter to 800 euros, or $1,100, for a garage door-sized panel
