Besides the confirmation that the collection will be released this spring, details on the collaboration have been scant. For now, all that has been revealed is that the line will be branded Nike RT, a picture of Tisci sporting a sweater with the sportswear brand’s logo and a short 15-second video.
“We were impressed by his vision,” added Ian Ginoza, Nike’s global footwear director. “I personally wear some of the t-shirts; that’s something that Riccardo does well, blurring the lines with street fashion.”
On what he brought to Nike, the designer was modest, “I couldn’t bring them technology, instead I brought my style, what people like me for and what the young generation follows me for.” As for what the collection will entail, Tisci gave the briefest of descriptions, “It’s strong without being loud.”
