There was a time when street style was defined by the two words that make up what has now become a blogging phenomenon. In its early stages, it was about the personal style of people on the streets on their short walks from their town cars to the fashion shows. It was a celebration of individuality and sartorial wisdom. It heralded a new generation of men who can rock a well-cut suit, men who found balance between the hallmarks of classic tailoring with contemporary trends.

It chronicled fashion savants layering unique accessories without ever looking effete. It celebrated a man’s way with colour, pattern and texture. It regaled us with photographic details of collars insouciantly turned up, trouser cuffs unevenly rolled, ties knotted askew, and shirts slightly rumpled lending their wearer that air of being too cool to bother with an iron.

What started as a CELEBRATION OF INDIVIDUAL STYLE has become a PARADE OF UNIFORMITY.”
