There are five styles for men and four for women based on the Oxford shoe, desert boot, Chelsea boot and – new for this season – the buckle-strap monk shoe. All are constructed using quality leathers and soft suedes in a range of eclectic seasonal colours and patterns. The unique and innovative rubber soles feature a distinctive white line of inserted “micro” that makes them extremely light and functional.
The autumn/winter 2013-14 collection is called “Colour Theory” and sees the collaboration with LA-based photographer and artist Sam Falls to express the energy and spirit that characterises No_Code. The ethos of Tod’s No_Code is to combine timelessness and extraordinary craftsmanship with influences from the worlds of contemporary music, art and cinema.
Jefferson Hack explains: “For this season’s imagery, artist Sam Falls has used a technique that combines the analogue with the digital – painting over photographs and manipulating natural processes in post-production. This synergy between the old and the new is an analogy of what I do with Tod’s No_Code: working with the heritage and ‘Made in Italy’ that Tod’s stands for and taking it into the 21st century with my approach to creativity and storytelling.”
