More than 1,200 guests attended the opening of FIDé Fashion Week 2013 with Pierre Balmain presenting its Spring Summer 2013 collection. Paying homage to the punk era (fashion’s elite seem to be still obsessed with this trend after the fashion exhibition Punk: Chaos to Couture earlier in the year); the label presented its edgy, rebellious nature with lots of leather and skinny jeans. Also, there was lots of layering with basics was employed with some tanks having being stretched and distressed at the ends.

However, the label realises that not everything piece needs to have a dark reference. As such, they have added a little Balmain glitz and lightness through white-washed denim jackets and jeans.
