Supported by Hublot, The American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) Milan 2013 organised an auction at the 21st at the Palazzo La Permanente Palace in the heart. Proceeds of the event will go towards the foundation research efforts. Attended by fashion’s elite and included, Roberto Cavalli, Dean and Dan Carten of Dsquared².
The star attraction, was a Hublot Big Bang “Costa Smeralda (only a 100 pieces were made) and the winner bidders were Roberto Cavalli and Reza Mostafavi and contributed 110,000 Euros towards the cause.
The case and bezel of the Big Bang Costa Smeralda are made of polished and satin–finished 18K red gold. The polished 18K red gold grid is set with 319 diamonds for a total of 1.49 carat. Further notable details include a matte white dial with printed logo “Costa Smeralda”, white rubber and alligator strap.
