With a spectacular collection that garnered rave reviews from all across the fashion stratosphere, it’s only fitting that Prada produced a campaign of an equal caliber and energy; recruiting three of Hollywood’s leading actors to model their latest menswear selection. Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained), Ben Whisaw (Skyfall), and Ezra Miller (Perks of Being a Wallflower) each brought a singular but varying personality of the Prada man to the images. “Each actor plays a distinct role, creating a trio of characters who bring their individual points of view and style to the collection,” says a statement from the brand, “Christoph Waltz’s character evokes a studied sense of elegance, Ben Whishaw presents an alternative carefree charm and Ezra Miller brings a youthful air of mystery.”
Photographed by the usual David Sims, the campaign was inspired greatly by “the irreverent world of Sixties New Wave cinema”, and the trio stars as the “protagonists in a drama of wit and enigma”. It’s almost a tradition now for Prada to feature high-profile faces in its menswear campaign, the brand has seen the likes of Benicio Del Toro, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Harvey Keitel, Jamie Bell, Gary Oldman, Garrett Hedlund, Michael Pitt and Willem Dafoe star in their advertisements.
