It’s not often that we see an association between fashion and film that’s not about the clothes; Giorgio Armani’s luxury home line Armani/Casa collaborated on Relativity’s upcoming new high stakes thriller Paranoia directed by Robert Luketic and stars Liam Hensworth, Gary Oldman, Amber Heard and Harrison Ford. This new partnership marks Armani/Casa’s latest and most significant on-screen appearance.
Armani worked with production designer David Brisbin to incorporate his Armani/Casa line into significant key moments throughout the film. From the sofas, lamps, tables and chairs, every single piece of furniture played an integral part in developing the sense of an elegant and styling setting.
“Collaborating with David Brisbin on his vision for this movie provided me with the opportunity to showcase Armani/Casa on film in a way that is absolutely believable and appropriate to the story “, said Giorgio Armani.
An example of this would be a scene when the young, up-and-coming businessman Adam Cassidy, played by Liam Hensworth, moves into a new, luxurious modern apartment, signature pieces from the Armani/Casa collection are used to enhance the setting.
Even though it’s not the most apparent of collaborations, it would be great to highlight more alliances between fashion designers and their partner beyond the realm of just clothes; perhaps this Armani/Casa partnership would be the first in a string of high-luxury furniture trend that’s going to become an up-coming craze in the not-so distant future?
