Our cover boy Issac Dang, a once fresh-faced singer who much like everyone else, dreamt of making it big. A year has passed and the Johor Bahru native (that was once still an amateur in the scene) has morphed into what seems like a superstar in the making. With a hit single under his belt as well as an upcoming movie and debut album on the way, his career train is definitely on the right track.
But let’s backtrack a bit; a year ago Dang was scouted by DJ and radio personality Dasmond Koh to sing for the soundtrack of his directorial debut, Timeless Love; and the song became an instant hit. Following that, he released his own chart-bursting single Chase (a song that made a young Leslie Cheung famous 18 years ago) which solidified his status as a musician.
Now, foraying in the world of acting, Dang will star in the upcoming Kiasu, co-staring alongside Henry Thia, Shiou Jie Kai and Cai Huang ru. But don’t let all this success fool you; fast-forward to present time and Dang still has an endearing demeanor towards him. The singer is still composed, polite and is still able to answer through questions in a well-thought out manner. Here’s to seeing more of Issac in the future!
