Every Suit has a Silver Lining: Bradley Cooper at Paris Premiere

  • By Men's Folio

We don’t think his suit was lined in silver, but we’re giving ourselves a pat on the back for coming up with that groan-inducing play on the title of Bradley Cooper’s latest film. Here he is in Paris straight off the Golden Globes red carpet, cranking up the knob on the charm-O-meter (he was last year’s Sexiest Man Alive) with his bewitching blue peepers.

All gussied up in a swanky Tom Ford peak lapel suit in a beautiful dark gunmetal taupe, Bradley played up the warm tones of his jacket by pairing it with a diamond micro-pattern tie in cognac and burnished brown Oxfords. His dove-grey dress shirt gave his outfit some light relief: quite literally the silver lining in his style book.

Best of all, we’re incredibly pumped that another big star chose a three-piece suit—is this the renaissance of that once-fussy take on evening-wear? With reviewers lauding his nuanced, empathetic portrayal of a mentally ill individual in “Silver Linings Playbook”, we’re also happy the floppy-haired one is getting the critical recognition he rightly deserves.

Oh, and if you’re wondering what’s up with his greasy mop, Bradley says he had to perm his tresses for a role in an as-yet-untitled film by David O. Russell: “We did a camera test and we were playing with the idea of him having curly hair. Oh, yeah bro, like rollers in the hair!” Here’s to more dandy premiere outfits (and better hair) by Bradley in the near future!
