If you look up black tie in a dictionary, you’ll probably find Hollywood heartthrob Ryan Gosling looking dapper at Cannes or The Golden Globes or some fancy movie premiere. It’s impeccable; the way it hugs his shoulders and torso as he glides elegantly along the red carpet, flashing cheeky grins to blinding flashes of paparazzi. I have a fancy party coming up and I’ll be halfway there to looking like Gosling, minus the flawless bone structure and strapping physique, thanks to Mr Porter’s latest collaboration with Brioni. In an unexpected deep and mysterious midnight blue, the one-button tuxedo sends all the right signals: I take care of myself but I don’t do my eyebrows.
