Inspired by Ralph Lauren’s love of the untamed West and the legendary spirit of the American cowboy, the Ralph Lauren Cowboy Egg is both charming and whimsical. Authentically dressed in weathered and worn clothing inspired by the rugged style of the Polo and RRL collections, the Ralph Lauren Cowboy Egg celebrates the essence of the brand and will reside at Rockefeller Plaza for the world to see.
Designed by a team of Ralph Lauren artists, the Ralph Lauren Cowboy Egg was brought to life by Izquierdo Studio who are renowned for costumes and props. The egg’s outfit was hand painted with acrylics before made to wear a vintage belt buckle from Ralph Lauren. The larger-than-life mustache and the colorful cowboy boots were created from heat-forming fabric and resin. The legs were attached to the body with a transverse metal bar.
