The latest addition to Marina Bay Sands’s many luxury shops is the prints-cantered Etro. Their new 2,300 square feet flagship store had their opening party last Thursday which not only included media heavyweights and celebrities in Singapore, but from the region as well.
Singapore’s very own leading actresses such as Zoe Tay, Jeanette Aw and Yvonne Lim were joined by Graha Lifestlyle’s Rebecca Halim Kusuma, Director of Retail, Franchise and Travel for Etro, Gianfranco Piedigrotta and Deputy Head of Mission, The Embassy of Italy, Dr Gianluca Rubagotti.
Signature fixtures (seen in Etro stores around the world) include gray lacquered panelling on the walls to plated glass and steel bars on display. Not forgetting the diverse use of colours and Etro’s signature paisley prints adorning every facet of the store: all hallmarks of the celebrated brand. A growing trend with most units at Marina Bay Sands is the VIP room – which caters to the label’s top customers.
In addition, about 200 invited guests mingled and laughed as the night went on, with the free outpouring of champagne and delicious canapés. As the evening progressed, many were caught admiring the interior design of the store.
To mark its opening, Etro has released a limited edition bag that comes in four combinations of colours: each tote will be inscribed with the words “Etro Milano For MBS 2014” – a statement piece that will last for years to come.
