French film fever hits Singapore once again with the annual Rendezvous With French Cinema, the much talked-about festival that features some of the most dazzling French pictures of the season. Taking place from 28 November through to 7 December, the fourth instalment will appeal to audiences of every taste and age with its diverse repertoire of films that run the gamut from Bertrand Bonello’s controversial biopic Saint Laurent, which depicts the life and torments of the legendary designer, to Christophe Gans’ Beauty and the Beast, an adaptation of the classic fairytale of the same name.

The festival also marks the Singaporean premiere of the acclaimed Clouds of Sils Maria, which stars Juliette Binoche, Kristen Stewart and Chloë Grace Moretz. Binoche will be here to grace the festival, together with French directors Philippe de Chauveron (Serial (Bad) Weddings), Audrey Dana (French Women), Fred Cavaye (Mea culpa) and Nils Tavernier (The Finishers).

Not just limited to films, Rendezvous will also feature a photo exhibition titled Inside Cannes, a collection of black and white images that trace the magic and pizzazz of the Cannes Film Festival all the way back to the 1950s, taken by photographer and Cannes regular Clotilde Richalet.

Rendezvous With French Cinema is supported by the Shaw Foundation and Total, together with Piper-Heidsieck, Air France, Christofle and Raffles Hotel. L’Officiel Singapore is joined by TV5 Monde and France 24 as the official media partners for the festival. The 16 films will be screened across three venues – The Cathay Cineplex, Shaw Lido and the Alliance Francaise de Singapour – and is held in conjunction with the Singapore International Film Festival.
