Givenchy Autumn Winter 2014 Campaign

Givenchy Creative Director Riccardo Tisci takes on the theme of “Rave Duality” in the Autumn/Winter 2014 advertising campaign he shot for the French house. In the double-page spread version of the men’s print advertisement, Tisci plays with contrasts and oppositions with a black and white lookbook-style shot facing a stolen picture of a private hotel party in full colour.

The black and white shot showcases several of Givenchy’s key pieces for Autumn/Winter 2014 – a blazer and poplin shirt with the iconic basketball print, matched with a pair of black pants with oversized white bands on the pockets. On the opposite side, Riccardo Tisci invites his gang to a rave party in a London hotel suite and snaps an Instagram-worthy shot of the group.

Accompanying the advertising campaign and developing the hotel suite party theme is a ‘leaked’ video of Tisci’s gang goofing around in the hotel room, clad in Givenchy’s Autumn/Winter 2014 collection of course. The multi-media development of the private party story coupled by the delicious voyeuristic element (Admit it! We’re all guilty of stalking on Instagram now, aren’t we?) makes Givenchy’s advertising campaign one of the strongest this Autumn/Winter season.
