As Alessandro Sartori kickstarted Men’s Milan Fashion Week with Ermenegildo Zegna’s Fall/Winter’19 collection, it was only befitting that the iconic Milano Stazione Centrale bore witness to his bold vision of next season’s menswear. “It’s where you meet and connect. And the idea of the connection is to be open, to include, and to connect diversity” shared Sartori. Undoubtedly, the man kept true to his word and bridged the connection between the brand and its customers with the runway debut of My Cesare.
The first of its kind for the Italian Maison, My Cesare is a fully personalised sneaker that features an innovative multi-material construction. The sneaker’s XXX logo, overlapping mesh and leather upper, leather detailing and ultra-light rubber sole can all be customised with an array of Pantone colours, opening the doors to thousands of unique possible My Cesare creations.
To provide a compelling narrative to the sneaker, Ermenegildo Zegna has employed the likes of XXX storytellers around the globe, including American music artist Topaz Jonas, Latin-American singer A. Chal, and English poet/model Sonny Hall, who all shared their personalised My Cesare moments.
Customers can construct their ideal shoe in-store, at selected boutiques worldwide, on Farfetch and WeChat, as well on Zegna’s interactive design application which will then be delivered within 6-8 weeks.
