Harry Styles for Gucci Cruise’19 Men’s Tailoring

  • By Khoo Yong Hao

Once again, the multi-hyphenate Harry Styles lands himself a lead role for Gucci’s Cruise’19 Men’s tailoring campaign with an all new cast of farmyard animals. The backdrop this time is a stark difference from the humble, traditional London chippy in Gucci’s Fall/Winter’18 campaign, with the Mannerist Renaissance gardens of the historic Villa Lante evoking a sense of sophistication and class.

Photographed by Glen Luchford in the rich, baroque setting, Harry is pictured wearing a combination of Gucci Men’s Tailoring sartorial and technical pieces, all “Guccified” through the use of pattern, coloured jacquards, intarsia knits, patches and unusual proportion.GU604_CRUISE 19 MENS TAILORING_LAYOUT_SP_CROP_300dpi_7

The campaign playfully positions Harry’s personal, urban take on the Gucci tailoring wardrobe amongst the classic, stylised landscape of the gardens, where fountains, grottoes and mazes characterise the historic surroundings.

As Harry prances around the rustic villa in Gucci’s picturesque campaign, any assumptions as to which furry companion will tag along in his next road trip is but a shot in the dark.
