Soak up the festive spirit at The Fullerton Hotel’s Lantern Bar – and no, we don’t mean parading around the Latin-American themed joint with a lantern in one hand and drink in the other. This mid-autumn month, move to the grooves and sensual beats of house music as Lantern Bar kicks off its Nippon Nights every Friday from 8pm till late. Let the moon be your spotlight, while you sip on the bar’s signature mojitos.

In an exquisite interpretation of Singapore’s metropolitan and tropical character, the newly opened 1927 bar and lounge is definitely another great addition to our impressive arsenal of rooftop bars. The luxurious oasis comes equipped with a refurbished infinity pool to take in the cityscape while enjoying a dip. Another highlight is the bar’s unique menu, which reflects the evolution of the tropical cocktail since the “Golden Era” of the 1920s and 1930s, but made using contemporary mixology techniques.

With the lustrous moon illuminating the pitch black sky, who says you need to perch atop skylines to marvel at its allure? Humbly located on the fourth floor of the Grand Park Orchard Hotel, Bar Canary provides an uber-chic dining experience as you take in the city lights on an alfresco deck. Till 31 December, Bar Canary has formulated an innovative blend of dessert and cocktail, which takes the form of fruity-flavoured popsicles dunked in unique cocktail concoctions: perfect for the Singaporean heat.

If you fancy a more intimate experience this mid-autumn festival, gazing longingly at the moon with a panoramic city backdrop while relishing in good ol’ glass of liquid courage, look no further than Mr. Stork. Housed on the 39th story of Andaz hotel, the bar’s key attractions are their 10 tepee huts, which look to be a dream to lounge in. The insidiously romantic environment, topped off with a splendid view of bustling Singapore, make for the perfect night to moon gaze with a significant other.
