Designed in collaboration with stylish American rapper 2 Chainz who has a penchant for the luxurious, the hyper-wild Chain Reaction sneaker has appeared among various rappers and fashion insiders, fueling rabid anticipation among the have-nots. It is a marriage made in heaven, where the Versace house is known for its opulent style, and 2 Chainz for his love of luxurious lifestyle. Helmed by sneaker designer Salehe Bembury, the collaboration makes a lot of sense and doesn’t come cheap.
The Chain Reaction embraces the Versace DNA, from the Greca motif, Greca lace cage, to the midsole detail and “puff croc” details found on the overlay’s stitching. The TPU lace cage gives lateral stability, while its iconic Greca motif guarantees the unmistakable I.D. of Versace.
