What’s on This Weekend: “Taste the Moment” at Jw Marriott

You know how the saying goes, “Seize the day.” But before you do that, you need to savour the moment as they come. Why not tuck yourself into a culinary festival at “Taste the Moment” on 24 and 25 March? The celebration turns its spotlight on some of the most inspiring chefs from JW Marriott’s luxury hotels and resorts across Asia. With a line-up of epicurean dinners and themed masterclasses, the exclusive two-day tasting event expects prominent culinary experts such as:

  • Chef Chotiphat Laisuwan (JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok)

  • Chef Stefano Di Salvo (JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach)
  • Chef Muhammad Mutjahid Ahmad (JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa, Vietnam)

The festival is part of “Taste of JW”, a pan-Asia gourmet campaign showcasing cuisine and culture through the dedication and craftsmanship of the luxury hotel brand’s renowned chefs. 

 Masterclasses

Workshops

Be immersed in the multisensorial experience of “Sound Bites” workshop hosted by sound designer Sara Lenzi, where each carefully curated experiential zone highlights a different taste. Learn how to elevate your dishes to be balanced and beautiful through the principles of food plating at “The Art of Plating” masterclass. Or, learn how to master food photography at the “Camera Eats First” session, both led by food stylist and photographer Dionna Lee. Other appealing workshops include “Grape Expectations”, where experts from Treasury Wine Estate will test your knowledge on the international wine rating system, while serving you their award-winning vintages. At “Inhale to Heal” by Aromatherapy Associates, discover how the power of scent can enhance your holistic wellbeing.

Journey through the imaginations of internationally acclaimed JW Marriott chefs Chef Thomas Liang (JW Marriott Hotel Hangzhou), Chef Pieter Fitz-Dreyer (JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong), and Chef Chotiphat Laisuwan (JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok), as they present a unique five-course supper experience. Interactive and stimulating all five senses, the supper incorporates visual storytelling, performances, and music. Explore and be inspired by the versatility and craft of cuisine through this immersive dinner where cuisine means creativity and technology.
