Gucci Celebrates the Year of the Dog with Bosco and Orso

  • By Men's Folio Editorial

Gucci celebrates the Year of the Dog with a capsule collection featuring Alessandro Michele’s two Boston Terriers, Bosco and Orso.

Lensed by Petra Collins, the campaign creates a dreamlike fantasy to capture man’s intimate connection with his best friend.

The dog motifs were derived from a pillow illustrated by artist Helen Downie — also known as Unskilled Worker — who gifted it to the creative director.

The capsule presents a series of 63 exclusive products, highlighting men’s hoodies and bomber jackets. The canines appear larger on backpacks and tote bags, juxtaposing against the iconic Gucci Supreme fabrication.

Scarves, trainers and intricate jewellery are adorned with the carved-out likeness of the two hounds.

For iPhone X users, special interactive content will be available on the Gucci App. Using facial recognition technology, individuals will be able to virtually interact with Orso and Bosco based on their own expressions.
