Back in March, former One Direction member Zayn Malik graced the Versus Versace’s Spring 2017 campaign as a prelude to his upcoming capsule collection for the Versace sister label. Now, the highly anticipated collaboration between the British singer and fashion legend Donatella Versace has been unveiled worldwide.
The ZAYN X VERSUS collection seamlessly blends Zayn’s notable bad-boy rocker street style with Versus Versace’s vibrant and youthful energy, proving him to be a perfect fit for the Italian fashion brand. “When I see this collection, I see Zayn,” says artistic director Donatella Versace. “His attitude, his energy and his individuality are in every single piece. I am so proud of what we have achieved together.”

For his second venture into the world of fashion, Zayn has embedded his rebellious spirit into a range of essential pieces for men and women, such as graphic tees and sweatshirts featuring a ZXV print made from tape. Taken straight from Zayn’s wardrobe is the must-have eco-leather biker jacket, embroidered on the back and on the sleeves with a graffiti-style Versus logo.
Functionality is another defining element of the collection, as exemplified by activewear like technical sweat tops that read ZXV down the arm. Paired with backpacks and gym bags that feature black-on-black Versus patches, and you have an outfit that would easily translate from the gym to the streets.

For the ZAYN X VERSUS campaign, Zayn swaps his Victoria’s Secret Angel girlfriend Gigi Hadid — she was the photographer for the previous Versus campaign — for her raven-haired sister, Bella. Bella and Zayn are captured in a series Polaroid-like shots that showcase how effortlessly the collection exudes coolness even in casual, frills-free settings.
