Every summer, there is palpable anticipation for Dolce & Gabanna’s latest Light Blue ad, which stars British model David Gandy. Light Blue has been a staple on bathroom counters since its debut in 2007. It is, after all, a Sicilian summer in a bottle that never fails to put one in a holiday mood.
Gandy (in nothing but a white swimming trunk) unsurprisingly helms the latest Summer campaign for the new Eau Intense Pour Homme, stealing the show again in the ad shot at the magnificent Faraglioni cliffs in the Mediterranean Sea of Capri, Italy. Video aside, the Eau Intense Pour Homme retains the OG’s marine-crisp-citrus fresh line but has a stripped down minimalist body and a subdued sweetness. The spritz opens with citrus notes of mandarin and frozen grapefruit that steer on the clean side. The heart of juniper and a salty marine accord is wrapped by a sensual base of amber wood and musk. The flacon retains its signature frosted appearance, housing the periwinkle blue juice.
