Moncler’s idea of gearing up for the Year of the Rooster? Designing a special edition reversible jacket that’s perfect for travelling in, and teaming with your favourite white tee and blue denim. While the Moncler piece comes in the requisite fiery red, and has all the expected gold accents and hardware, the varsity style still looks surprisingly youthful and modern thanks to its black and white trims, on its collar and sleeves.
Another a key feature of the jacket: a large, elegant embroidered rooster motif that recalls the phoenix needlework found on the back of silk souvenir styles. Reverse the striking piece and you’ll get something completely different: the brand’s trademark quilted jacket, also decorated with gold tone hardware. And if getting all matchy-matchy is your thing, there’s also a women’s version for the missus. The Moncler Chinese New Year 2017 Special Edition jackets is available from this month.
