A Look At The Ferrari Museums

  • By Dewey Sim

A Formula One simulator, a cinema screening a collection of Ferrari-themed films, and a charming Ferrari café – these are some of the highlights you can expect at the Ferrari Museum located in Maranello, Italy. In the last issue, we covered the #DreamFerrari campaign, where Ferrari is giving you a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to redesign and reshape its classic California T. In exchange, the luxury car brand will fly one lucky winner down to tour its museums. Now, we’re telling you why this experience will be nothing less than memorable.

Besides the simulators and cinema, visitors of the museum will also be treated to a host of experiences at the museum to enrich the full-on Ferrari treatment – from having a photograph taken in a Ferrari for a souvenir to doing a hands-on tyre change. On top of that, be sure to check out the latest exhibition Ferraristi per Sempre. The name means Ferrari Forever, and the exhibition pays homage to the Formula One racers who have competed in competitions across the globe in the name of passion and drive.

If this is triggering your inner geek, we suggest you take a 20km drive to Ferrari’s other museum – Museum Enzo Ferrari – in Modena to learn more about the brand’s history. Museum Enzo Ferrari is dedicated to the brand’s founder, Italian motor racing driver Enzo Ferrari. Allowing visitors to get up close and personal with the many Ferrari cars on display, the museum is also home to exhibits that celebrate Enzo Ferrari’s life.

Using over 19 projectors and an immersive biopic screen, visitors will get to see him and his various incarnations over 90 years – from the curious child who discovered racing at the beginning of 1900 to the manufacturer of the brand who has bagged countless triumphs. With so much to see, feel and experience, there isn’t a reason not to get on this hell of a ride.
