Continuing forth with their 3rd set of collaborative effort, Opening Ceremony and adidas Originals has released their sportswear inspired Fall/Winter 2013 lookbook; a definite hit for you street-style kings. Drawing inspiration from two contrasting sports, the commercially celebrated basketball and the more adventurous rock climbing, the collection takes a very psychedelic meets urban active lifestyle design to the clothes.
For the rock climbers, you get a deep-hued color palette inspired directly by the ‘70s, and motifs of vintage drawn mountains across pajama sets, colour-block sweaters and fleece workwear-inspired jackets. Wouldn’t you like to climb up the cliff in this?
As for you basketball players out there, the collection offers a different take on the uniforms typically worn on court and on the athlete’s pre- and post-game looks, but paisley was the gravitating motif; shorts, sneakers, shirts and track-sets were all adorned heavily in this print.
Our particular standout would definitely have to be the basketball trackpants: with a tonal zipper that stretches the entire length of the leg, it’s a fresh interpretation to the typical buttons that usually eschews itself in classic designs; and on top of that in paisley print? That’s one basketball team we’d love to try-out for!
