With a contemporary campaign that plays with colour-block and urbanism, Y-3’s new Fall/Winter 2013 campaign is a mix of sportswear utilitarianism and art-house cool. With a continuation to the bold campaigns that Adidas’ luxury sportswear segment has shelled out previous seasons, the images reflect their collection: mainly the juxtaposition of tradition and technology within the clothes that’s reflected through the setting of colour blocking panels contrasting the wooden panels. Photographed by Robbie Fimmano and starring Wojtek Czerski (Dior Homme and Thom Browne runway favourites) and Josephine Le Tutour, the usual Yamamoto youth is very much present in the persona of the campaign.
