First there were the traditional chain cufflinks, then came the pivoting T-bars. Now, Richard Mille presents to you their first “automatic” cufflinks, strongly reminiscent of the parts of a Richard Mille watch movement.
The fine Swiss manufacture says two years of work went into designing and crafting these exceptionally refined pieces, consisting of no fewer than 38 components each. Made from grade 5 titanium, the bars are opened using a surprising push-piece: two titanium bars are utilized to fasten the cuffs, which can be released with a swift press of the push-piece. (To close, simply press the top plate.)
Finished with as much care as the technical know-how behind them, the cufflinks are beautiful to behold with their satin-brushed upper, bead-blasted and bevelled by hand for an astonishingly tactile, lush feel.
Available at Richard Mille boutiques now, these cufflinks in titanium are guaranteed for two years…and will make for a great gift for the gents in your life this coming Christmas. If you’re willing to wait, an opulent, diamond-set version is set to follow at an as-yet undetermined date.
